2. This website
This is a purely static information site. It sets no cookies, loads no external fonts, scripts or trackers, and performs no analytics. When you visit, our server (located in Germany) processes technically necessary access data in server log files (IP address, date and time, file requested, browser type) in order to deliver the page and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are retained briefly and deleted automatically.
3. Account & registration
The app requires no user account and no registration. There is no login, no in-game currency and no online leaderboard.
4. Data that stays on your device
TEN OUT is a game played around a table: everyone shares a single phone. The player names you type, your settings (mode, heat, sound, haptics), your lifetime statistics and the ad-pacing counter are stored exclusively locally on your device in iOS UserDefaults. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party. It is removed when you delete the app.
The app has no server of its own and no internet multiplayer mode. It works fully in airplane mode.
5. The game does not listen
TEN OUT uses neither the microphone nor the camera, and no speech recognition. The app displays the rules and keeps the rounds; the group decides who made a mistake and taps it in. Nothing is recorded and nothing is analysed.
6. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version is funded by advertising from Google AdMob. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
- One full-screen ad is shown, on leaving the winner screen — never during a round, and not in your first games.
- The winner screen may offer an optional rewarded ad that lends you a deck for a single game. That offer is opt-in.
- The app does not ask for tracking permission via App Tracking Transparency. Without that permission iOS does not provide the advertising identifier (IDFA), so no cross-app recognition via the IDFA takes place.
- In the EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom the app presents a consent form (Google User Messaging Platform) before any ad is loaded. Your choice controls whether Google serves personalised or non-personalised ads. The advertising SDK is only started afterwards.
To deliver and account for ads, Google processes technical data such as IP address, device type, operating system version, coarse location (derived from the IP address) and interactions with the ad. Google's privacy policy applies. Legal basis where consent is given: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (funding an app offered free of charge). Your choice is stored locally by the consent SDK. You can reset it by deleting and reinstalling the app, after which the consent form is shown again.
Buying NO ADS or THE WHOLE THING removes advertising permanently; the ad SDK then loads nothing.
7. In-app purchases
Purchases (NO ADS, the rule decks and the bundle) are handled entirely by Apple (StoreKit). We receive no payment data; we are only told your ownership status so the content can be unlocked. These are one-time purchases — there is no subscription. "Restore purchases" queries your ownership status through your Apple ID.
8. Sharing
On the winner screen you can share a result image through the iOS system share sheet. The image is produced on the device, you alone start the share, and it goes to whichever app you pick. We receive nothing from it.
9. Recipients & transfers to third countries
Data is transferred only as described above (Apple, Google). Using those services may involve processing in third countries such as the USA; the providers rely on appropriate safeguards, including EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
10. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and is not listed in the App Store Kids Category. Ads are deliberately capped at a maximum content rating of "PG".
11. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21), as well as the right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact sp@staris.services.
Because we store no personal data about you ourselves, we can only answer requests concerning the server log files named above. You can delete the data held on your device at any time by uninstalling the app.
12. Changes
We update this policy when features or the legal position change. The version published here is the one that applies.
